José de Udaeta - Awards
In 1987 José de Udaeta received the "German Dance Prize" from the German Federal Association of Dance Teaching to honour his achievements as teacher and lecturer.
In 1989 José de Udaeta received the "Silver Medal of the Arts" from the Spanish king, combined with the title "Ilustrissimo". In 1995 José de Udaeta received the "National Prize for Dance" of the Region of Catalonia. In 2000 his home town of Barcelona honoured José de Udaeta with the "Golden Medallion for Services to the Arts". In 2001 José de Udaeta received the highest award of his country "La Creu de Sant Jordi" (the cross of St. George) from the Spanish Prime Minister Pujol. This award is combined with the title "Honorable".
